Holy lord it’s hot here! And it hasn’t rained since April! We have no air conditioning since apparently we weren;t suppossed to need one here in Oregon. But now that Oregon has turned into Texas we’re all in trouble! The heat spiled today up to over one hundred degrees with no relief in sight. It’s hard to get any sleep before 11pm because it takes forever for the temperature to drop down in the house. I guess that the good news is that we’re the only state on the coast that hasn’t reported a fire yet. I’m sure we’ll get one soon.
I’ve got lots of work to get done this weekend. I need to get a database up and populated for The Arts Center so that I can make some of the content on that site dynamic. I also need to finish some database work on LaVelle Vineyards so that they can begin accepting credit card numbers online. I also need to work on a website for my step father that will showcase the rentals that he needs to get rented out for prospective renters. (Lots of renting in that sentence) Then I need to get a page up for a friend at work so that they can start selling their Red Worms to people online. That will be interesting. And as I’m typing this last sentence I’m feeling the sweat build up on my brow so I think I’m going to get out of this house for now and get somewhere where there’s an air conditioning system.
