Weekend is here!
Well the weekend is here finally. The end of this week ended on a good note. I went and picked up my new glasses today at lunch. I was a little worried about how I looked in my new specs because this time around I opted for something in a triangular type frame instead of the oval frames I usually wear. Vicky said that I now look like a sexy Buddy Holly, and I am fine with that. The Internet was down for almost 4 hours this morning so it left me with an opportunity to work on a couple of new photoshop tutorials. I learned about a new filter in version 8 called fibers. Man, what a filter. It has a great randomize feature that allows you to well, randomize the fibers and thus get a new look every time. I also worked on the new Rosenet website and had a little help from Evgeni on the Communities for Healthy Forests website.
Vicky and I have had a tough bout with PMS this week. I’ve been dealing with it much better that her since my dosage of Effexor XR was upped to 450 milligrams this week. Vicky taught a class on glazing this week. Next week she has two classes. One on decoupage and another on jewelry. She’s also been watching two kids this week and next week she will be on her period so I’ll have to really be aware of that and help her out as much as I can.
The new puppy Arthur has also been quite a handful lately. He got his second round of shots today and he also got dewormed. We’ve had no problems crate training him but potty training has been unsuccessful so far. He was getting a little better until today. He had a total of eight accidents in the house while I was at work! He will learn I’m sure and when he does we’ll be a bit happier around here.
Meelo and Frida have also been doing well. We bought Meelo and Arthur new Kongs this week and they have been very happy with them indeed. Frida is holding up well lately. She’s still really old but we’re keeping her on a strict, well balanced diet and she seems to be hanging in there quite well. She sleeps a lot, but when she’s happy to see us she bound around like a puppy in the backyard with the rest of the dogs.
I called an electrician and he keeps promising to come out to estimate the cost of installing a new electrical outlet under the sink and a switch for the garbage disposal but he hasn’t made it out here yet. Maybe next week I guess. Oh well. That’s about all to report for now. I hope that all my readers have a great weekend!
