Deadlines and Bloodtests
I’ve been working with a marketing representative from out of town and I’ve done one freelance project with her to date. It went very well. Recently, I’ve began working on our second client’s web site project, and I’ve already made more than one mistake. I’ve missed two deadlines in the last two weeks. Wow. That is not good. The opposite of bad indeed. The problem is not that I’m not giving myself enough time to do the work, but rather that I’m not scheduling my time properly. I am scheduling my time to get the work done, but then at the last minute something else comes up and I have to duck out of the deadline. Normally, it’s a question of alloting myself, my day job, or my family with some time. Those are the only three things that supercede my freelance work. These three things unfortunately gratefully take up about 90% of my time.
LaVelleWeb.com re-re-designed: I’ve recently been inspired by some other weblogs to redesign my site…again. I’m really busy right now and so it will take some time, but I figure talking about something is the best way to getting around to doing something…Or, is that procrastination? Yikes. So there, now I have anticipation built up amongst my viewers. They want to see the new design. They can feel it coming like a bus that should be here any minute. They look left, then look right. Then again, to the left, quickly, where is it? It’s coming, it’s coming, gentle readers, I promise.
I got the results back on my yearly physical (which is the first I’ve had in 7 years) and it all looks very excellent. For the most part. Cholesteral is awesome. Thyroid is awesome. Liver is however a little bit off. Dr. Niska says that the blood in my liver is showing elevated levels of something or another. And so they sent it back off to be tested for hepatitus. That came back negative. So, now I have an appointment on the 9th of February to get an ultrasound done on my liver and my gall bladder. According to a nurse they will be looking for signs of Fatty liver, Cirrhosis, and my personal favorite, Gallstones. Hazaa indeed!
