Waiting for myself for WordPress for me
The first version of Wordpress I used was 1.0.2 (codename: blakely?:/) I think. Since then there have been several other releases and I, being the typically lazy bastardo that I am, kept putting them off. I didn’t want to take the time to update my template to keep it looking like my web site. So I waited, and things got old. My site looked bad. Really bad. Frustrated and fed up with comment spam and other hassles I downloaded WordPress version 1.2 in December. I took the time to change everything around for a month or so and finally got everything sort of back to normal a few weeks ago.
On February 16th Matt and his crew released version 1.5 Strayhorn. Crapola. I was frustrated at first. Now that I’ve had a chance to help a couple of friends install the new version I’ve decided to just do it. I’m not going to worry about the way my old site was. I didn’t like. So now, I will create a simple front page and use this layout for the web log on this web site. Until I have make time to create my own template. Oh, and the photo of Vicky and Frida is from last year and I’m using it to test out the upload feature on this bad boy.
